Robbers escape in a yellow RS4 at 168mph in the wrong direction on a highway

So, last week three eastern european guys committed a series of robberies in the north-east of Italy, running around in a yellow Audi RS4. And for a bit in the wrong direction, on a highway, too. Reports say it ran at around 270kph (168mph) on a different occasion too. Probably not on an underpass and in the wrong direction, though.

Eventually with their escape runs they caused some considerable traffic mayhem which resulted in a woman losing her life in a crash.

After the event the italian Polizia sent two Huracans patrolling the roads of that area, but earlier today the poor RS4 has been found completely burnt down. The criminals are still missing.

Good first post. Where are you from?

Crazy to believe their vehicle of choice was bright yellow wagon. Why do you think they would burn it to the ground afterwards? Ruin any evidence like fingerprints and DNA? Were these big robberies like banks/businesses or home robberies?

Thanks! I’m from Italy myself. It was my first thought too, it’s a very flashy car. I think burning the car was because of dna an fingerprints, too, but also as an affront, given that the RS4 - after further research - appears to have been stolen in late December. They robbed multiple houses all around the region of Veneto.
